A Bit of Poetry…
So today I’ll just be posting a bit of poetry. I’m thinking of continuing my LiveJournal (or creating a BlogSpot) to be my blog proper, and this tumblr can be an outlet for my poetry!
Anyway, this is a poem i wrote a while ago. It is based on the book “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy. It’s an amazing book, so i defintely reccomend that you check it out!
this world
is already dead
torn apart by war
famine and greed
even survivors
we cannot trust
all our hope
on that road
never ending
so misleading
destination unknown
if it ends on a cliff
a pure dead end
if it leads to a sea
radiant with hope
we may never know
A Brief Introduction
So i figure i should introduce myself before i post anything else? haha
I’m Neeps, and I hail from a little town in a little state in Jersey. Music is my life and my source of inspiration. I wish i could tell you that I am more than just a face in the crowd, the kid you pass on the street without a second glance, but I’m not. I am average on so many levels, and you can be sure I’m just one of millions of kids just trying to find myself a stable future. Nothing is certain in this life anymore, except for two things. The first thing is my friends. These are people who’ve stuck by me this past year when I needed them the most. These are the people who accept me for who I am, without asking for anything in return. I know I never say this to their faces, but If they read this i want them to know that I am truly grateful for everything you guys do for me, and it really touches my heart to know that these guys and gals will always be there to help me up when I fall, no matter the height of my drop down. <3 The second thing is that I won’t change for anyone other than myself. I am who I am, and noone can change that. There may be things about me that you may not like, but once you look past those things, you’ll see that I am so much more than meets the eye. If you can’t even do that much, it doesn’t sound like I’d want to associate with you anyway. ;-)
Either way, welcome to my blog. I’ll try to post on this pretty often, but I’m sorry if i wind up lagging behind. I’ll be posting everything from poetry (which you should comment on with your thoughts) to mundane stories from my everyday life to my thoughts on politics and current events. I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much i enjoy writing it. :-)
